I am a Robotics Ph.D student in the AirLab at Robotics Institute, School of Computer Science (SCS), CMU, advised by Prof. Sebastian Scherer. (I've been working with basti since RISS 2021). I also collaborate closely with Prof. Chen Wang and Dr. Alex Gray.
Prior to CMU, I obtined my B.ENG in Mechanical Engineering from Tongji University (TJU) with National Scholarship, and Shanghai Scholarship, where I focused on UAV tracking in Vision4robotics Group. I'm also fortunate to work with Prof. Hang Zhao in the MARS Lab at QiZhi Institute.
My past (undergrad/early Ph.D. journey) research were about Generalizable Object Perception in Challenging Environments, details see Here.
Now (ongoing and Ph.D. topic), I am focusing on Neural-Symbolic Reasoning for Generalizable, Efficient, and "Smart" Robotics. Specifically, I hope to build AI/robots that can learn to do "Abstract" Reasoning and Planning under Any Contexts and Spaces with "Mininum Hand-coded Expert Knowledge". Feel free to drop me an email if our interests align and I'm open to any collaboration and discussion oppertounities.
